The Bearded Collie is an average shedder with a long, shaggy coat. This breed requires a fair bit of grooming. Daily brushing is recommended, and the mats should be taken care of before they get bad. Extra attention may be required during the shedding seasons. Grooming can be made easier on you by having the coat professionally machine-clipped every two months or so.
