I am thinking baout getting a enw puppy - can anyone offer any suggestions as to what kind I should get?

A tip for anone looking to get a new dog or any animal for that matter.

Whenever deciding on a new animal, in my opinion it is best to do research on that animal and even breed specific research so that you know what you are getting yourself into.

Once a decision has been made -again this is my opinion- you should then contact a local rescue or shelter to find your new friend.

That sounds like a great idea Bill. With what happened in La. I am sure there are many pets that need homes now and people may find just what they are looking for.

Well what i did when I bought my puppy I thought about nothing but what I like the most so you don't end up with a dog you don't like and end up giving it away or not paying any attenion to your dog!I hope I helped! Embarassed Laughing Smile Very Happy Wink Mr. Green

You should go and adopt a german shepherd mix puppy at animal haven on Prince St. I got my German shepherd mix puppy in a about a week. Check the site at animal haven shelter.org to see if they have any left.

I depends on what you are looking for... Are there any small children in the house... how big is your yard... any other pets in the house... how much time do you have to spend with your new dog... But as far as a recomendation... HUSKIES!!!
