--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE HELP!!!
I have a Siberian Husky who is now 14wks old. We have had Rusty Since he was 5wks old. We have been having some problems with him. Mostly wiht house training. So about 3wks ago we decided that we would confine him to one area of the house, and it worked he only went to the bathroom once in it and htat was the first night, hes never gone in there before until the last week, now he goes in there during the day, there is usually someone alwasy home so he always gets to go outside, well today he just destroyed my wall he just ripped it apart. At night time hes great we lock him up in his space and in the morning he howls when he has to go outside, but he can no not let him roam around or he will jus do bad habits.
Now I dont know what to do. Hes becoming a little much and I donto intend to get rid of him I paln on workign with him, but I have a 2yr old and now Im pregnat and I can not dela with the stress. hes a really good dog besides the fac thtat he doenst listen which I can dela with that I knew about that before we got him. Its just housebreaking.
So what Im asking is, is it too late to maybe put him in a crate? Or should I just cont to leave him in his spac?
Please Help! ANy comments or suggestions are greatly appericated. |

It is never too late to start crate training your dog.
There are a number of artilces on the net about this.
You can also visit a popular Husky Rescue site @ http://www.sibrescue.com/
Under their training section you will find this page http://www.sibrescue.com/crate-training.asp
Hope that helps... |

Its true its never too late to crate train. If I were you I would crate train him rather than letting him have 'his own space'. Its much safer and all around easier. (At least I think so!) Also I think that he needs some training. Some in the home is going to have to train him or take him to a professional trainer. |

| Yeah just a little crate training and you are good to go. With that said my huskies still have what we call "on-purposes" like they get angry about something and then go pee on my bed. Nothing can be done about it I guess you can call it "directed -fire" haha. |
